CONvergence Convention, June 30-July 3

CONvergence is a large general science fiction and fantasy convention held in the Twin Cities each year since 1999.

When a third drowning in the Bohemian Flats area turns out to be murder, investigators are called in to find out if the first two deaths were, also, murders and not accidents and, if so, who the culprit or culprits are. This mystery incorporated Nordic and European myths and cultural and immigrant experiences with a good old-fashioned motive and opportunity solution.

13 Gears, November 5

13 Gears is an eclectic steampunk event featuring merchants, live music, and activities.

A stolen ancient Egyptian necklace brings a weather curse to the area and it is up to our intrepid sleuths to find the pieces of the necklace and speak the phrase that will stop its effects. Players answered riddles about ancient Egyptian gods or performed fun actions related to the dieties to receive a piece of the necklace from merchants. The reassembled pieces revealed hieroglyphics which were translated by the players.
